Kaarthika shows great interest towards the performing arts. She is a talented musician and spends most of her free time performing at local talent shows and benefit concerts. She also has played the lead role in many drama productions held at her school. She has been singing from the young age of two and has published a book called, "Subramanya Bharathi and other Legends of Carnatic Music". This reinforces the fact that she is extremely passionate about music. She is currently working on a novel based on the Eezham Tamil genocide.
